Admir Bristric scored in Leicester City Under-21s' 4-1 victory over Arsenal in Premier League 2 on Saturday evening, with Bade Aluko also starting at Seagrave.
The striker, who joined the Foxes on a four-year contract in the summer, has been left out of Russell Martin's squad for the last six League One games, including Saturday's 2-1 defeat to Luton Town.
Emil Riis is being preferred over the Bosnian, with Liam Cullen and Bobby De Cordova-Reid being used off the bench due to their versatility. Bristric hasn't played in the league for City since the 4-0 loss at home to Oxford United at the start of September.
Aluko was also absent from the squad at Kenilworth Road and has now been left out of the squad for the past two league games. The defender has started three times in League One, but has been replaced at half-time in his last two against Barnsley and Peterborough.

Yesterday, the two first team stars were named in Leon McSweeney's starting XI in the Under-21s' win over Arsenal. After Luqman Aideed scored inside five minutes, City scored twice in six second half minutes through Lorenz Hutchinson and Hugo De Lisle, his first Premier League 2 goal.
Riley Carr, who made his senior debut at Stevenage in the Jersey Mike's Trophy last month, registered two assists, including one for Bristric in the 69th minute. The striker and Aluko were both substituted off in the 71st minute.
Martin told in his pre-Luton press conference that he would be back at Seagrave to watch the Under-21s in action after the game at Luton. The City boss has a close eye on the academy at the club, with the likes of Tommy Neale and Carr training regularly with the first-team.
City are back in action on Tuesday night against Wigan Athletic and after losing 2-1 to Luton, Martin has confirmed that changes will be made to the side. One will be forced after John Lundstram was sent off at Kenilworth Road.
"We're going to need everyone," he said post-match. "I expect there will be changes to the team now on Tuesday, because we have a lot of games in a tight period and we didn't win the game today, so everyone has to be ready."
