Eddie Howe continues to be linked with Manchester United(Image: MI News/NurPhoto)
Former Everton chief executive Keith Wyness believes Eddie Howe would immediately reset the culture at Manchester United, while Julian Nagelsmann will focus on the style of play.
Both Howe and Nagelsmann have been heavily linked with Old Trafford. Michael Carrick remains the manager of United, but the general feeling is that he's keeping the hotseat warm for somebody else
While the former Newcastle United boss and the ex-Bayern Munich manager are the two favourites, both coaches are different in their philosophy and style. Wyness believes they will focus on different things in their opening days as manager.

Speaking to Football Insider, Wyness said: "This is the issue. I think they've got to diagnose what the problem really is rather than who the issue is.
"There are certain things, like Eddie Howe would be more about trying to fix the culture, which he did at Newcastle quite well, and Nagelsmann's more about the concept and the way the style goes as well.
"Diagnosing what the problem is and then having a manager to fix that issue is more important than just picking a personality or whoever seems to be the best one at the time. That's how they've got themselves in trouble so far."
United are currently languishing in 17th place after their 2-0 away loss to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. The Reds have gone nine matches in all competitions without a victory and have lost four of their last five matches in all competitions.

Up next for Carrick is a Champions League battle against Roma on Tuesday before another home clash against Aston Villa.
According to the Athletic, United will make their decision on Carrick's future when club football makes way for the international break at the end of next week.
Carrick has resolutely carried on at United, but did not hide his disappointment after the loss against Chelsea. He told TNT Sports: "There is a lot of emotion. We are a great football club but we want to win football matches.
"The supporters make a lot of effort and pay a lot of money to watch us play. You could see today [Saturday] the boys had the game in the right place and things have gone against us in a big way and unravelled quite quickly. There is a lot of emotion right now."
