The Ibrox club have several high profile players out on loan
Derek McInnes oversaw a massive Rangers rebuild last summer - with a whopping 19 players heading through the exit door.
However, a number of those players could make their way back to Ibrox after loan spells away from the club.
A host of talent left the club on a temporary basis last summer - but while it has ramped up minutes for plenty of players, switches away from the Scottish Premiership haven't worked out for all the outgoing players.
One player who is facing an uncertain future is Connor Barron at Middlesborough, who has yet to make his debut for the English Championship side.
Barry Ferguson has called for Rangers to cut the loan spell short - but how are the other senior players who left on loan faring? Record Sport takes a look.
The playmaker make a surprise switch to Anderlecht late in the window, as the Norway international had rapidly dropped down the pecking order under Derek McInnes. However, things have not gone to plan for Aasgaard in Belgium.
Thelo Aasgaard in action
He has made three appearances for his new club - all coming off the bench. The 24-year-old made a late cameo against Cercle Brugge last weekend to help his side mount and injury-time turnaround and claim all three points. Aasgaard will hope the 14 minute cameo is enough to see him removed from the scrap heap.
The striker hasn’t scored in eight appearances so far this season after returning to Brazil on a temporary deal, and has disappeared from the plans of manager Tite already - having failed to make it off the bench in the last two, winless games.
The Albania international showed flashes of what he is capable of at Rangers - but never truly hit the heights of some of his teammates. Enough was enough under Derek McInnes, and he took himself to the Saudi Pro League. The creative midfielder has been a regular for Al Taawoun, but the side are winless so far this season - and currently sit in the relegation zone.
The former Dundee midfielder crossed the divide in the City of Discovery by leaving Rangers on loan for United - and is reaping the benefits of the switch. He made a hand full of appearances last term for the Light Blues before being shipped out on a disappointing six-month deal at Aberdeen - but the 24-year-old been allowed more freedom in the United engine room this term.
Speaking last weekend, Scotland U21 cap Cameron talked up the role of Jim Goodwin in his rebirth: "He's given me the freedom to go and play, get in good positions, get on the ball and be positive. That's what I'm going to try and do and if i can get some goals and assists to help us win then that's good."
The 20-year-old has been given a key role by Neil McCann in the Kilmarnock midfield - and is showing flashes of the potential that saw Rangers snap him up as a youngster from Motherwell. He was unable to face his parent club when Killie visited Ibrox last weekend, but will be hoping to kickstart his time at Rugby Park again following the international break when he can finally return to the pitch against the Steelmen this weekend.
The Colombian winger has found his feet in Argentina after an injury-hampered spell at Ibrox. He has helped steer the club to the upper reaches of the table as they mount a table. An option to buy is written into Cortes' deal - and if his form continues Huracan could be willing to splash the cash.
It has been an up and down season for St Mirren - and Nsio has suffered the same fate. Boss Craig McLeish has made the 20-year-old a crucial first-team player - handing him regular starts, including 90 minutes against Hearts last weekend.

Nsio enjoyed a flying start to the season but has struggled in recent outings - just like the Buddies, who are enduring a four-game losing run.
A player that Rangers fans have high hopes for, the 19-year-old netted his first goal for the League One side last weekend in the draw with East Kilbride. After impressing for the B team already this season, the switch to the Diamonds appears to have been a positive for the prospect so far. He has started the last two games for Airdrie.
Speaking of players that fans have high hopes for, the hopes don't come much higher than the hype around Kyle Glasgow. The 16-year-old has already been promoted to the Scotland under-21 set-up - and has already become a key man for the Wasps in League One. He has netted four goals for the struggling side - who are sitting just above the relegation spots.
