After deciding late that he wanted a career in sports journalism, Daniel worked his way up the ladder in an unconventional manner.
Having opted against university, Daniel worked with Sky Sports as a freelance contributor and translator during transfer windows while also volunteering on several other blog pages and outlets to get a portfolio of content together.
Daniel then worked with Barnet FC as part of their social media team before starting his own website, which focused on football and MMA content.
That eventually led to work with 90min and Reach PLC with The Mirror, Daily Record, Daily Express, and Manchester Evening News.
Following that, Daniel spent two-and-a-half years with Breaking Media covering Everton, Rangers, Leeds, West Ham and other clubs before joining GiveMeSport as a Premier League editor.
As well as football, Daniel is a huge MMA fan and has appeared on YouTube and podcast content too.

England legend David Seaman has picked out a surprise, uncapped name to be part of the Euro 2028 squad under Thomas Tuchel.
The Three Lions enjoyed a strong World Cup campaign this past summer as they finished third in the tournament, their best-ever finish since winning it in 1966, but there was clear disappointment that they weren't able to go all the way despite the talent they had available to them.
Tuchel signed a new contract before the tournament began and is expected to be in charge at the next major tournament at Euro 2028, which will be hosted in England, Scotland, Wales, and the Republic of Ireland in less than two years time.
The German has already begun to usher in a new generation of players since the World Cup, with the likes of Alex Scott, Rio Ngumoha, James Trafford, and Jarrad Branthwaite earning opportunities during the most recent camp for the UEFA Nations League fixtures.
But while speaking to Betway, the former Arsenal and Man City goalkeeper was asked to name a player who he believes will make it into the Euro 2028 squad that people aren't quite talking about yet, and he only had one name in mind when answering the question.
"Max Dowman. Honestly, I’ve seen him train, I’ve seen him play, and when you see him on that football pitch he looks like a man," he said.
"He’s a special talent. When you see him off the pitch you remember that he’s still just 16.
"But that’s the beauty of it –he is still just 16, but he’s playing like a man, and he must already be close to getting in that England squad.
"You’ve got to be careful about how much game time he is getting, because as good as he is, he still needs to like to come on and have an effect as a sub. Mikel [Arteta] is managing that perfectly because he’s with him in training day in, day out, and he knows what he’s got.
"Sometimes he’ll drop down into like the under-21s or the under-18s, so his development is being looked after really well.
"In a few years’ time he’s definitely going to be up there because he’s just so special. The only thing is he’s got so much talent in front of him in that position, with Noni [Madueke] and Bukayo [Saka], but we all know what he’s capable of."
Dowman is yet to make his senior debut for the England squad under Tuchel, but at just 16 he has already established himself in the Arsenal first team.
Having made his debut as a 15-year-old to help Arsenal lift the Premier League title last season, Dowman shone in the EFL Cup game against Ipswich earlier this season, scoring twice in a 4-2 win, and he earned huge praise from manager Mikel Arteta with his performance.
"He was unbelievable again; some of the actions and connections that he can give us on the pitch are just a joy to watch.
"He was really efficient; he’s getting more and more active in action; he can sustain for longer periods, and we know the talent that we have."
