WWE has expanded its developmental talent pool with three more female athletes reportedly signing contracts and relocating to Orlando, Florida, to begin training at the Performance Center.
The latest additions bring experience from different sporting backgrounds, with the company continuing to look beyond established wrestling talent for its next generation of performers.
According to Bryan Alvarez of the Wrestling Observer, Gabriela Martinez Asensi, Silvia Likki, and Tayleigh Robertson have all joined WWE after participating in tryouts. Elly Finch was also among the recruits, though PWInsider had already reported on her signing earlier this week.
Martinez Asensi arrives from Spain with a background in collegiate tennis, having played for the University of Missouri. She is also a fitness coach with a significant social media following and speaks Spanish, English, and German. Her athletic experience and ability to communicate across three languages give her a varied background as she begins learning professional wrestling.
Likki, meanwhile, brings experience from the CrossFit world. The Italian athlete has built an Instagram audience of more than 200,000 followers, and her strength and conditioning background could provide a foundation as she develops her in-ring skills at the Performance Center.
Robertson (Instagram) offers a different kind of wrestling experience. She has competed in amateur wrestling and bodybuilding and attended Snow College and Utah Tech before making the move into WWE’s developmental system.
All three athletes completed WWE tryouts before receiving their contracts. Their backgrounds reflect the variety of sporting experience the company continues to draw upon when recruiting talent for its future roster.
Finch, whose signing was previously reported, also joins the group after competing in track and field at Michigan State University. Her addition was confirmed alongside the other recruits in Alvarez’s report.
There has been no announcement regarding when any of the new signings might appear on WWE television. Their immediate focus will be training at the Performance Center, where they will work to turn their athletic backgrounds into wrestling skills.
For now, the three recruits have taken their first steps toward a WWE career. Their next test will be between the ropes, where athletic credentials must translate into success in the ring.
