The 25-event regular season is in the history books. Now it's time for the three-tournament Charles Schwab Cup playoffs, the postseason on the PGA Tour Champions.
The setup is mostly the same, though the series includes a new tournament. The Dominion Energy Classic at the Country Club of Virginia in Richmond, Virginia, has been replaced by a new event in St. Louis. The top 72 in the Schwab points will make the postseason. After the first playoff event, only the top 54 advance. From there, only the top 36 make the finale, which, for the ninth year in a row, will be contested at Phoenix Country Club.

The major difference is that on that PGA Tour, the winner of the Tour Championship is the FedEx Cup champion, whereas on the PGA Tour Champions, one golfer can win the final playoff event, the Charles Schwab Cup Championship, as someone else is clinching the season-long Charles Schwab Cup.
This is quite common and produces a photo opp on the 18th green for two different guys hoisting two different tropies.
However, in 2025, Stewart Cink broke the mold by winning both titles and thus, claiming both trophies.
These are the 72 players who made the postseason:
