Wrexham go into Saturday's Championship clash against bottom of the table Preston at The Racecourse on the back of a 2-1 home defeat to West Brom on Tuesday.
With seven key players on the sidelines, Parkinson if faced with limited options as he looks to maintain Wrexham's strong defensive foundations while finding greater attacking threat but he has vowed to rise to the challenge.
"You're never going to get a full quota to select from, you're going to have injuries, but I think we've been hit hard," he said.
"I don't want to keep going on about it but we've been hit harder than we probably have at any other time since I've been here.
"But it's about finding the solutions to that, we've done that before and we'll do it again.
"It's finding the formula with the group of players we've got available to make us more effective while keeping that defensive strength.
"Any game of football at any level, managers are striving for that balance. Can we threaten more without making sure we're too open on the transition?"
Parkinson is unlikely to welcome back any of his injured players this weekend but he hasn't ruled out making changes.
"There's probably not as much scope as we had previously," he added.
"But we'll look at everybody and pick the team which we feel is right to get a result at the weekend."
