It was another frustrating afternoon for The Swallows who created numerous chances but just could not break down a resolute Colyton defence.

Toby Barnes had two early chances for the home side before Ed Gould hit the crossbar and there were further opportunities in the second half before Colyton got the decider through Lawrie Rowe.

Commented Uplyme manager James Whetlor, “The positives were Sam Wooster’s brilliant goalkeeper and having James Hansford back in defence made a real difference.”

On Saturday Uplyme are home to Farway United.

Kick off is at 3pm.
