Leeds United are confronting a possible injury crisis ahead of their journey to Sunderland, with the attacking trio of Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Noah Okafor and Anton Stach all considered "major doubts" for the fixture.
The three forwards comprised the attacking line-up in the previous outing against Manchester United, as they have on numerous occasions this campaign, but head coach Daniel Farke could be deprived of all three for the encounter at the Stadium of Light, with none of the players mentioned having participated in training thus far ahead of Sunday's Premier League clash.
The absence of even one of those individuals would be viewed as a setback for Leeds, who are not endowed with an abundance of offensive alternatives in their squad, but being without all three would represent a devastating blow to Farke.
Both Calvert-Lewin and Stach are carrying foot injuries, while Okafor is battling an adductor issue which has ruled him out this week.
The sole positive news is Wales international Daniel James has returned to full training and is anticipated to be fit to start if called upon at Sunderland, reports Leeds Live.
"We have to wait a little and assess who is available for this game. Obviously, Joe Rodon is still out doing his rehab work. Our offensive players from the last game are all doubtful," explained Farke.
"Dominic Calvert-Lewin got a tackle and a foul late on in the last game and he is struggling with a bruise on his foot so there is a question mark about his availability.
"Anton Stach is the same with a foot problem after the last game and it is painful at the moment. So there is a question mark about his availability.
"Noah Okafor is struggling with some abductor problems. If the game was today all three wouldn't be available. The positive news is we still have two days so we will try to make them available,. The question is who of them will be available and for how many minutes.
"We need to assess them and take some major decisions, but all three are major doubts."
