Supporters made their feelings clear at Carrow Road after the final whistle, following another result. The defeat added to pressure on Clement after Norwich’s mooted promotion push having hit the buffers in the early weeks of the seasons.
Clement acknowledged the anger but praised the backing his players received throughout the 90 minutes.
Clement said: “The fans were really positive during the game and kept pushing the team. You cannot ask for more than that.
"Afterwards, we understand their frustration because we're all frustrated about the result and we felt we could have had more from the game. It's my job to stay calm because if everybody starts to panic, we're not going to get the season we want.”
"There are still 36 games to play and it's about taking the right lessons from this game.”
Clement believes Norwich’s displays have deserved more reward and pointed to narrow defeats as evidence that his side are not far away from turning the corner.
He admitted Norwich must improve in front of goal if they are to win back support.
Former Rangers manager Philippe Clement said: “The organisation was good, the attitude was good and the passion was good. Now it's about making the right decisions in the final third and rebuilding confidence.”
With fan discontent rising, Clement said Norwich needed belief as they tried to halt their slide and get the season back on track. The result leaves Norwich seeking a response, while Clement’s focus remains on performance rather than panic for now.
