Munster scrum-half Craig Casey put rugby into perspective with a moving tribute to Hyron Andrews following Saturday's Champions Cup victory over Racing 92.
The Ireland international took a moment before discussing Munster's win over Racing 92 to send his condolences to the family and teammates of the late Lions forward.
Andrews, 31, tragically died in France on Friday, just a day before his side's European opener against La Rochelle.
Speaking to Premier Sports after the match, Casey said:
"Before I go and talk about the game, on behalf of Munster, we'd love to send our love and our wishes to Hyron Andrews' family and all the Lions and all his past teammates."
The scrum-half then made a poignant reference to Munster's own experience of losing a teammate and coach.
"It's absolutely horrific. We've been there ourselves, so we're sending all the love in the world to you."
Casey also praised the Lions players for taking to the field despite their devastating loss.
"We're really thinking about you and shout-out to the Lions lads for pitching up today. It's a tough thing to do."
The tragedy came exactly ten years after Munster legend Anthony Foley died in Paris ahead of a European fixture against Racing 92.
Munster marked the anniversary with a series of tributes before Saturday's match.
Meanwhile, the Lions honoured Andrews by playing their Champions Cup opener against La Rochelle.
His number five jersey was laid on the pitch before kick-off, while both teams observed a minute's silence.
The South African side suffered defeat on an emotional afternoon in France.
Andrews, who previously represented Sale Sharks, leaves behind his wife and two young sons.
The rugby community continues to mourn his loss.
