Newtown Blues kick off their Leinster Senior Club Football Championship journey on Sunday with an away fixture in Wexford against Kilanerin-Ballyfad.
The Louth champions are aiming to make their presence felt in the provincial tournament following their county title triumph, though they face a challenging opening encounter against a Kilanerin outfit arriving as Wexford champions.
Kilanerin secured their spot in the Leinster Championship following a 1-15 to 0-12 victory over St Martin's in the Wexford Senior Football Championship final on October 18.
Newtown Blues, by contrast, enter the provincial contest on the back of a thrilling Louth final replay success against St Mochtas, prevailing 0-12 to 0-11 in the most dramatic fashion.
Trailing by three points deep into stoppage time, Jamie Kelly's two pointer cut the gap to one, before Ciarán Downey's strike from well outside the arc secured the win and a 24th senior title for the Blues.
Both sides will be determined to establish themselves in Leinster, with progression to the subsequent round on the line.
Here's everything you need to know about the fixture.
The Leinster Senior Club Football Championship first-round clash is scheduled for Chadwicks Wexford Park.
Throw-in is scheduled for 3pm on Sunday, November 1, 2026.
