6ft 6" McEvilly signed for Rovers in July after spending the previous three seasons at Burnley U21.

The 20-year-old came on as a late substitute in the 1-0 Jersey Mike’s Trophy victory over Shrewsbury Town at Prenton Park in September.

He also previously spent time on loan at Clitheroe, who play in the Northern Premier League Division One West, when he was at Burnley.

A spokesperson for Tranmere said: "Everyone at Tranmere Rovers would like to wish Jack all the best at Clitheroe."
