Another week, another strong set of former Oregon Ducks performances on the national stage.
First, there was Kyler Kasper making a huge impact in BYU's upset win over No. 2 Notre Dame right when Makhi Hughes led the way for the Houston's rushing attack against Oklahoma State in a pivotal Big 12 contest. Keith Brown, who was a Duck ages ago but still a former Duck nonetheless, had the best game of his career in Corvallis against Oregon State.
Both Kasper and Hughes performed in primetime on the biggest of stages... while Oregon was relegated to the 8:00 p.m. PT time slot, a slap in the face as NBC went with the UCLA-Wisconsin matchup instead at 4:30 p.m. The Ducks won, powered by transfer quarterback Dylan Raiola against his former team with a strong defensive performance from defensive tackle Bear Alexander, who led the team in tackles with seven.
Prior to Oregon taking the field, other former Ducks besides just Kasper, Hughes and Brown performed well in Week 7 across the nation.
Kyler Kasper was vital in BYU's 28-24 victory over No. 2 Notre Dame, catching using his big frame to haul in six passes for 66 yards while throwing a touchdown to quarterback Bear Bachmeier on a trick play from 15 yards out. After finishing his Oregon career with six catches for 77 yards in four years, Kasper has now amassed 20 receptions, 244 yards and three touchdowns through six games.
In perhaps the best game of his career, Keith Brown totaled 15 tackles, nine of which solo and a sack in Washington State's 48-30 loss at Oregon State. Brown now has 51 tackles, by far a career-high and the most for the Cougars in 2026.
Houston had the biggest win of their season in beating Oklahoma State, 35-32, with Makhi Hughes as a main contributor. He carried the ball 18 times for 77 yards. After redshirting at Oregon in 2025, Hughes is now up to 464 yards and three touchdowns for the Cougars.
Missouri lost 31-3 to Ole Miss, but Sione Laulea had a solid day in notching four tackles and a pass defensed.
California's season is quickly going downhill, but Kamar Mothudi is putting together a breakout season and added to that sentiment in racking up five tackles in the Golden Bears' 41-7 loss to Wake Forest.
Kingston Lopa returned from injury and made an impact with four tackles in the Golden Bears' blowout loss. He's been a game-changer for California's defense, already picking off five passes this season.
Kentucky's run with Will Stein at the helm continued in Week 7, as he led the Wildcats to a 21-13 victory on the road in Norman against Oklahoma. Kentucky is now 6-1 and ranked 12th in the nation, quickly establishing themselves as a surprise College Football Playoff contender.
