Fenerbahce will look to get their Turkish Super Lig campaign back on track when they welcome Goztepe to Chobani Stadium on Saturday, with Dirk Kuyt taking interim charge following Ismail Kartal's departure.
The hosts sit fifth with 16 points from nine matches after losing 2-1 to Galatasaray in the Istanbul derby, while the visitors are 10th with 12 points and arrive in Istanbul unbeaten in their last five league games.
Fenerbahce face an important test as they adjust to a change in the dugout, with Kuyt having little time to settle in before his first match in charge and knowing that victory is crucial to prevent them from losing further ground on the teams above them.
Victor Osimhen scored twice in the first half for Galatasaray, and although the Yellow Canaries pulled a goal back after the interval, they could not find an equaliser, with the defeat prompting Kartal's departure after the club finally accepted his resignation, having previously rejected it earlier in the campaign.
Fenerbahce are without a win in their last two competitive matches, having drawn 2-2 with Slavia Prague in the Champions League last week, while they have won just one of their last four games, a run of form that falls short of expectations for a side competing on multiple fronts.
The Yellow Canaries are already six points off the top of the Super Lig, meaning any further slip-up could have significant consequences for their title ambitions, although they can draw confidence from their home form, having gone unbeaten in their last four matches on home soil and recorded three wins and one defeat in four league games at Chobani Stadium this season.
Their attacking output has been particularly impressive, with Fenerbahce scoring 23 goals in nine league matches, more than any other team, while their 16 goals at home are also the highest tally in the division.
The hosts have remained unbeaten in their last six meetings with Saturday's visitors, although four of those encounters ended in draws, while they have won two and drawn one of their last three home games against Goz Goz.
Goztepe will hope to take something from this contest, just as they did on their previous visit to this ground, when they left with a 1-1 draw.
The visitors also have reason for optimism after showing greater consistency in recent weeks, collecting points in each of their last five league matches, drawing two before winning their last three in succession.
Goz Goz began this run with consecutive 2-2 draws against Alanyaspor and Caykur Rizespor before recording a 4-0 victory over Eyupspor, a 2-1 win away to Kocaelispor and, most recently, a 2-0 success against Corum, with Alexis Antunes opening the scoring in the third minute before Juan added a second before half time.
That sequence should give the visitors confidence ahead of a difficult away assignment, particularly as three of those five matches came on the road, producing one draw and two consecutive victories.

Kuyt will have a decision to make in attack between Romelu Lukaku and Vedat Muriqi, while Mason Greenwood could feature in the attacking line and N'Golo Kante is expected to play in midfield.
Goztepe have concerns over Rhaldney, who was forced off in the first half against Corum, while Allan Godoi, Furkan Bayir, Ogun Bayrak and Ibrahim Sabra are also doubtful.
Juan has scored six times for the visitors this season and is expected to lead the attack alongside Andre Henrique, with Antunes operating behind the pair in a 3-4-1-2 formation.

Fenerbahce's managerial change and injury concerns add uncertainty to this contest, but their attacking strength and strong head-to-head record give them the edge at home, even against a Goztepe side arriving on the back of five consecutive league matches without defeat.
