The Eagles will have Jonathan Greenard available against the Cowboys on Monday night, providing much-needed reinforcement to their pass rush.

Greenard is active after being listed as questionable with an ankle injury for the divisional matchup. His availability is particularly significant with fellow edge rusher Nolan Smith inactive.

Philadelphia also elevated outside linebacker Keyshawn James-Newby for the game, adding another option as defensive coordinator Vic Fangio manages his personnel against Dallas.

His activity status doesn't indicate how much Greenard will play, but it gives the Eagles an experienced pass rusher in a matchup where pressuring Dak Prescott will be important. Philadelphia needs to disrupt the Cowboys’ timing while avoiding the coverage breakdowns that can follow extended plays.

Greenard’s status offers encouraging news on a night when the Eagles remain short-handed elsewhere. Wide receivers DeVonta Smith and Dontayvion Wicks are inactive, along with defensive back Michael Carter II.

The Eagles enter Monday at 2-4 after four consecutive losses. With Greenard available, the defense has another option as Philadelphia looks to regain its footing against a division rival.
