The USA TODAY Sports Super 25 high school football rankings had a major shakeup following Week 9 of the 2026 high school football season.

While Santa Margarita (Rancho Santa Margarita, CA) remains the No. 1 team in the nation and the top four remain untouched, beyond that, there was major movement in the latest Super 25 rankings.

However, in the USA TODAY Sports high school football composite rankings, St. Thomas Aquinas (Fort Lauderdale, FL) still maintains its No. 1 ranking, a spot it has held for several weeks, but Santa Margarita is rising up these rankings, too.

USA TODAY Sports has developed its composite rankings using five different national polls (USA TODAY, MaxPreps, SC Next, HSFB America and Massey). Each is weighted differently to add credibility to the rankings.
