Another NFL wide receiver trade target has emerged for the Pittsburgh Steelers from an AFC team that's been selling players left and right.
On Wednesday, Colts wide receiver Joshua Downs requested a trade from the Indianapolis Colts.
"Sources: Colts WR Josh Downs is requesting a trade from Indianapolis," ESPN's Jeremy Fowler wrote.
Downs, if traded, would be the third Colts player traded in the past two days, as Quenton Nelson and DeForest Buckner were already dealt to the Seattle Seahawks and San Francisco 49ers, respectively.
During his first three years in the league, Downs recorded 2,140 yards and 11 touchdowns on 198 catches. Through seven games in 2026, Downs has caught 26 passes for 307 yards while consistently finding separation.
The Steelers have been heavily rumored to pursue a "semi-big" wide receiver trade target. The team has previously been linked to Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Ladd McConkey and Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Brian Thomas Jr., but Downs would be an affordable option for the Steelers to pursue ahead of the November 10th NFL trade deadline.
