Bologna and Inter treated fans to an action-packed first half at the Dall'Ara, setting the contest alight with two spectacular goals. Breaking the deadlock was Tommaso Pobega with a wonderful solo effort, but late in the half Marcus Thuram responded with a stunning equaliser.
The Rossoblù broke the deadlock after just ten minutes. Miranda dispossessed Thuram and picked out Pobega, who produced an extraordinary run through the attacking third: beating three men with explosive acceleration, bursting into the penalty box, and unleashing an unstoppable right-footed rocket past Josep Martínez.
Inter absorbed the blow and managed to restore parity on the stroke of half-time. From a cross from the right delivered by Barella, Thuram timed his leap to perfection, rising high in the box to connect with a sublime twisting header that flew into the top corner beyond a helpless Skorupski. Two moments of sheer quality, one for each side, that lit up the first 45 minutes at the Dall'Ara.
