Manchester United's record this season now stands at one win in seven Premier League matches following their 1-1 draw against Leeds United at Elland Road on Sunday.
Man United were looking to pick up their second top flight victory of the campaign in Yorkshire, and it appeared as though there was a chance it could happen when Bryan Mbeumo gave them the lead at half-time.
However, soon after the interval, United's defence continued the season pattern of looking fragile as Dominic Calvert-Lewin scored from a corner following some poor defending from Carlos Baleba and others.
The injury issues suffered by Benjamin Sesko this season have certainly caused Michael Carrick a headache, given how impressive the front four of him, Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo and Bruno Fernandes were last season.
It has been a different story this campaign with Cunha struggling when playing through the middle, with Rashford featuring from the left.
The fact that Rashford is back at United and playing at all seems a bit of a miracle, given it seemed his Red Devils career was over following loan moves to Aston Villa and Barcelona.
The England international was a star for the La Liga giants last term, but Barcelona decided against making the move permanent and signed Anthony Gordon from Newcastle United instead in the summer, and with no other high-profile takers for Rashford, he remained at Old Trafford.

Carrick suggested in pre-season he was excited to have the 28-year-old available again and after coming on as a half-time substitute against Hull City on the opening day, he then started their next four Premier League games.
Rashford has struggled to make a meaningful contribution in attack though, and he has played just one minute of their previous two top flight fixtures against Tottenham Hotspur and Leeds, even when they were searching for a winning goal in the latter.
Carrick has his fair share of issues at the moment following Lisandro Martinez's outburst, Bruno Fernandes' dramatic loss of form and the uncertain future of JJ Gabriel, but Rashford is giving him another massive headache.
After his impressive form for Barcelona last season, United fans and Carrick were probably rightfully expecting Rashford to make a positive impact in their attack.
It just hasn't happened for the 28-year-old though, and he looks to have upset the perfect balance that Carrick had found in his attack in the second half of last season.
Cunha was in brilliant form from the left-hand side, providing goals and assists and his runs from deep caused huge problems for opposition full-backs.

The Brazilian has barely had a look in on the left this term because of the return of Rashford, and Carrick choosing to play him through the middle instead in the absence of Sesko,
The former Wolves star hasn't looked comfortable through the middle and has only played 16 minutes across United's last two games, and the quicker he is given his spot back on the left, the better.

For Rashford, it's once again proving difficult to see how he has a long-term future at Old Trafford having already been dropped to the substitutes' bench after just six starts, and he simply just doesn't look like he fits in at United any longer.
The opportunity for a second chance for Rashford was worth a go, but it is becoming increasingly obvious that a permanent parting of the ways in 2027 is probably the best outcome now, because he has been holding them back.
