Held annually, the US Open Cup is the oldest cup competition in the United States and is one of the oldest continuously-run soccer cups in the world. It is open to amateur and professional soccer teams affiliated with the USSF.
This year's tournament included 80 professional and amateur squads from Major League Soccer, United Soccer League, and other leagues. After beginning play in the spring, it all comes down to one final game in October.
Competing in the final match are the Columbus Crew from Columbus, Ohio and St. Louis City SC from St. Louis, Missouri. Both teams are from Major League Soccer. The winner will qualify for the 2027 CONCACAF Champions Cup.
