South Carolina football running back Matt Fuller has left the Oct. 31 game at Oklahoma with an injury in the first quarter.
South Carolina (4-3, 2-3 SEC) leads Oklahoma (4-3, 2-2) 7-0.
Coach Shane Beamer told SEC Network between quarters that they were getting X-rays on Fuller's ankle.
Fuller exited the game after a second-down carry during South Carolina's second drive of the game. He spent time on the turf in Norman and appeared to be grabbing his ankle.
Before the injury, Fuller had four carries for 17 yards, including a 14-yard rush.
Fuller was able to gingerly walk off the field under his own power. He remained out for the remainder of South Carolina's drive, which finished with a LaNorris Sellers touchdown run.
According to the SEC Network broadcast, Fuller spent time in the medical tent before entering the locker room shortly before the end of the first quarter.
Fuller has been the Gamecocks' leading rusher through seven games this season. Fuller has rushed for 513 yards and five touchdowns while adding 130 receiving yards and a touchdown in the passing game.
The junior has 798 rushing yards and seven touchdowns in three seasons with the Gamecocks. He scored a rushing touchdown in each of South Carolina's first five games this season.
