The Irish Times - Letters to the Editor.

Sir, -I must agree with Michael Cullen (Letters, October 15th) that the actions of our football players at the two Israel-Ireland matches in protesting at the genocide in Gaza were neither shameful, defamatory nor anti-Semitic.

However, I do feel that team members refusing to shake hands with their fellow footballers, or insulting any country’s national anthem, is both unsporting and ungentlemanly. – Yours, etc,

RODNEY DEVITT,

Sandymount,
