Michael Bradley believes it is important for the New York Red Bulls to play a better match each time they walk out onto the pitch, with the New England Revolution next up in MLS.
A 2-0 win over Inter Miami – their first over the Herons since March 2024 – at the weekend snapped a two-game losing streak and moved NYRB up to ninth in the Eastern Conference.
They occupy the final wildcard spot with three games left to play, but the fight for the playoff places remains tight, with only six points separating ninth and 13th.
The Miami victory will have provided an important confidence booster for the Red Bulls, and Bradley is excited to see what his team can produce against the high-flying Revs.
"We hope that the best game is the next one," Bradley said. "That's our mentality right now.
"We're happy and feel good about what went into this one, but for where we are in the season, for what's on the line and for how tight things are, we're going to do everything to make sure that the next game is even better."

The Revs are on a three-game winning streak after their dramatic 2-1 victory over the Philadelphia Union last time out, which leaves them second in the East.
They are currently closing in on one of the top-four spots, which would secure home advantage for the early stages of the playoffs, and head coach Marko Mitrovic is thrilled with the level they are playing at.
"I personally love when we play those games against a tough team, because we are a tough team as well," Mitrovic said.
"For us to grow, we need this type of opponent."
Defender Ethan Kohler echoed the sentiment, noting how important the win over the Union could be heading into the postseason.
"The mentality from everyone going in is that people are ready to fight and to go all in together into the test, into the challenge, and I think we really show that.
"Having tight games, where we grind through it as one defensive unit, one offensive unit, it just gives us so much confidence not only going into this final stretch but also going into playoffs."
PLAYERS TO WATCH
New England Revolution – Carles Gil
Carles Gil has scored 13 goals in the MLS this season, more than any other New England player, and netted what turned out to be the winner from the penalty spot against Philadelphia.
Seven of his strikes have been penalties this season, with no player netting more from 12 yards than him.
Take a bow, Carles! VAR hates to see him coming https://t.co/XpgDTqSDKI

New York Red Bulls – Emil Forsberg
Emil Forsberg scored his fourth goal in the MLS this season against Miami last time out, netting for the first time since August 16, when he did so against Atlanta United.
He has vastly underperformed his expected goals (xG) tally so far this season, though, racking up 7.9 xG from 49 shots, a -3.9 differential.
MATCH PREDICTION: NEW ENGLAND REVOLUTION WIN
New England have won each of their last three home games against the Red Bulls in MLS, with all of those coming by a one-goal margin.
However, the Revs have lost their last two meetings with NYRB in the league – both away from home – going down 1-0 earlier this season.
New England head into this game in strong form, having won each of their last three matches, and seven of their last 10 in MLS (L3).
The Red Bulls, meanwhile, have lost just one of their previous three road games in the competition (W2), though it was their last such match against D.C. United.
