New Seattle Seahawks guard Quenton Nelson brings a combination of top-class production, proven consistency and extensive experience to the team’s offensive line. Here are three notable nuggets to know about the superstar veteran guard prior to him taking the field for the first time for the Seahawks.
Nelson has been a high-level performer in 2026, as he currently has the second-highest offensive grade among all NFL guards from Pro Football Focus this season with an 85.7 offensive grade. He trails only Chris Lindstrom, who owns the highest offensive grade at 86.7. Nelson’s strong performance reinforces his reputation as one of the league’s most reliable interior offensive linemen.
Nelson also has a decorated resume nine seasons into his career in the NFL. He has earned an All-Pro nod in six of his first eight seasons played in the league prior to this year, per Pro Football Focus. He made an immediate impact after entering the league, earning first-team All-Pro recognition as a rookie in 2018. His early success established a standard of excellence that he has maintained throughout his career.
Selected with the No. 6 overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft by the Indianapolis Colts, Nelson has developed into a veteran presence with extensive experience against top-level competition. His track record of individual recognition and continued strong play gives Seattle an accomplished option at guard as the Seahawks look to strengthen their offensive front for another Super Bowl run come season’s end.
