AC Milan return to Serie A action this evening as they face a potentially tricky away fixture against Udinese.
The 3-0 defeat to Bournemouth on Thursday has caused some damage, and not just from a result perspective. On the eve of the game, it was confirmed by Milan that the key players Mario Gila, Adrien Rabiot and Diego Moreira will all miss out on the action at Stadio Friuli.
Below are how the newspapers look in Italy this morning ahead of a game that feels like a must-win, even with the absences.
La Gazzetta dello Sport front page: “Milan: Cardinale gives vote of confidence to Amorim. Facing an emergency in Udine.”
La Gazzetta dello Sport inside: “The Diavolo are with Amorim. Cardinale has faith in the manager, who is keeping Milan afloat despite a long list of injuries.
“The Portuguese coach lost Gila, Moreira, and Rabiot yesterday, but the owner – currently en route from the States – remains fully committed to the Rossoneri project.”
️“Ramos leads the attack. He has already scored in Udine, while playing for PSG.”
QS: “Milan decimated following European defeat. Rabiot, Gila, and Moreira out.”
