A lacklustre showing saw City reach that disappointing milestone for the first time outside the top flight since 1947, deepening frustration after the optimism and excitement surrounding the start of the campaign.
Chrisene understands the growing discontent and admitted City's squad must show greater desire if they are to start turning narrow margins in their favour.
"Really tough. Frustrating as well. I think the fans can express that frustration. We need to win games and it's not good enough at the moment. We've got to change things," Chrisene admitted.
"I think mainly for me, it's the desire to win. We've got to show and fight and do all the things and win the tough games. Tonight, it was tough, but you've got to just grind through it and get the results.
"All the games we've played recently that we've lost have been narrow margins and it's decided on the moment. We've got to show that we're willing to do that. It's like that in the Championship, isn't it? "It goes one way or the other and with all the teams who are similar in the league, we've got to show that we're fighting more than them."
The result leaves Norwich 20th in the Championship ahead of an important home meeting with Portsmouth this weekend, when they will attempt to arrest their alarming run of recent form.
Chrisene believes rebuilding confidence and generating momentum will be crucial if City are to change the direction of their season before the November international break.

"I think momentum is a big part of it," he said. "I think when we won a few games last season, we won a really good one. We then carried that over to each game and we got more and more confident.
"Whereas this season, it was similar to this time last season as well, where you lose a game, you lose two games and all of a sudden you're spiralling and you're losing game after game. It knocks your confidence a bit, but at the same time, we can't have any excuses. We can't put it down to one thing or another thing.
"We've got to just take the next game as it is at face value and kind of change things just through hard work and determination."
