WWE SmackDown’s Halloween festivities took a dangerous turn on October 30 when Gunther interrupted Danhausen’s much-anticipated experiment and unleashed chaos inside the arena.

However, the segment had one final surprise waiting for The Ring General, as a familiar WWE persona emerged from the darkness.

Danhausen had promised to unveil his most evil creation, but Gunther wasn’t interested in waiting.

The former World Heavyweight Champion attacked the host, delivering a powerbomb through a table before dragging him into the ring for more punishment.

The Demon Finn Bálor returns to WWE and attacks Gunther

Just as Gunther prepared another powerbomb, Danhausen’s cloning machine activated, producing an army of miniature versions of the eccentric WWE star. The Minihausens tried to overwhelm Gunther, but he quickly took control, throwing pumpkins at them and powerbombing one through a table.

Gunther then locked Danhausen in a sleeper hold, seemingly bringing the experiment to an unfortunate end. Suddenly, the lights went out, and the arena turned red.

The Demon Finn Bálor appeared, leaving Gunther visibly stunned. The Ring General attempted to attack first, but Bálor avoided his clothesline and launched a series of strikes and Sling Blades.

Gunther managed to land a chop and even struck Bálor with his championship belt. However, neither move stopped The Demon, who continued his assault with another Sling Blade before sending Gunther through a table with a running dropkick.

The fight moved outside, where Bálor grabbed a ladder and used it to knock Gunther onto the announce table. He then climbed to the top and delivered a Coup de Grâce, sending The Ring General crashing through it.

Bálor’s Demon persona had last appeared at WrestleMania 42, where he faced Dominik Mysterio in a Street Fight. His return therefore gave Danhausen’s unusual experiment a much bigger payoff than anyone could have anticipated.

The segment ended with Bálor and an injured Danhausen striking a pose together. Gunther’s Halloween visit had turned into a nightmare, and The Demon had officially made his presence felt again.
