Former Manchester United player Owen Hargreaves and Leeds United boss Daniel Farke dropped telling assessments on Bryan Mbeumo after Sunday’s Premier League clash.
Michael Carrick relied on Bryan Mbeumo to lead the Manchester United frontline in the absence of the injured Benjamin Sesko for the Leeds United match at Elland Road.
The year football boots peaked
Mbeumo had Youri Tielemans playing behind him in the No 10 role and Bruno Fernandes was out on the right wing and Amad Diallo was on the left.
The 27-year-old Cameroon international was the difference-maker in the first half after he broke the deadlock and fired Man Utd into the lead against Leeds.
Another great performance from Baleba but Fernandes on the other hand…
Such a good pairing that but both so young… will be solid enough defensively? Feel a more experienced 6 is needed
He should have scored, I thought it was in
Maybe it is a good thing. If he is no good the rest is giving up. MB scored but the header was just sad. After last afrcan cup he is just been awful

Amad Diallo played Youri Tielemans through on the wing before the Manchester United summer signing crossed a low ball from the right late in the first half. Tielemans’ ball fell straight into the path of Mbeumo, who produced a sliding finish past James Trafford in the 35th minute.
Mbeumo could have had a brace in the first half after he failed to convert before Man Utd’s opener against Leeds United. Tielemans floated a superb ball into the box from a cross and an unmarked Mbeumo failed to hit James Trafford’s net with his header.
Speaking after Leeds’ 1-1 draw against United at Elland Road, Daniel Farke admitted that Mbeumo stood out for the “unbelievable individual quality” that the Red Devils have on offer in their attacking options.
“Overall, it was not necessary to be in a losing position at half-time; I thought we were the dominant side,” he told Sky Sports.
“But it is still Manchester United; they have unbelievable individual quality up front.
“If you are not switched on for a moment, then Mbeumo can score goals, which is what happened.”
Farke’s admiration for Mbeumo’s impact was echoed by Owen Hargreaves, who singled out the Cameroon international at half-time. Hargreaves admitted that Mbeumo showed what he is truly capable of when he is ‘switched on’ in the final third.
“It’s almost all Tielemans, gets on the ball, whips a brilliant ball in,” he said on Premier League Productions, as per the Premier League’s official website.
“It’s a bit Kevin De Bruyne-esque [from Tielemans]. He plays it out wide, plays the run in behind the centre-back. It’s a great run from Mbeumo; he’s a good finisher when he gets there.”
Mbeumo has played in all seven of the Red Devils’ Premier League matches this season and the former Brentford ace has netted four times for the Red Devils. The France-born attacker has featured in 10 fixtures across all competitions and picked up an assist in United’s 4-0 demolition of Sabah at Old Trafford in the Champions League clash last month.
