The Jacksonville Jaguars' extended stay in London ended with a divisional loss to the Houston Texans.
C.J. Stroud and the Texans defeated Trevor Lawrence and Jaguars 34-31 at Wembley Stadium on Sunday in a high-scoring shootout that was decided on the final play.
Houston pulled ahead 17-14 at halftime, and it added another touchdown on the opening drive of the third quarter. The sides traded touchdowns late in the third quarter, then Jacksonville scored 10 unanswered points to tie it late on a 60-yard field goal by Cam Little. Stroud proceeded to march the Texans down the field as Ka'imi Fairbairn nailed a 49-yard kick to win it at the buzzer.
Here are three takeaways from the game:
Don't count out the Texans just yet.
After an 0-4 start to the season, Houston has won consecutive games. Suddenly, Stroud and Co. are right back in the hunt to win the AFC South. The fourth-year QB went 24 of 34 for 312 yards, three touchdowns and an interception in a dazzling performance. Jaylin Noel had 107 receiving yards and a touchdown, Foster Moreau caught two touchdowns and Marvin Harrison Jr. added three catches for 34 yards in his Houston debut.

Despite the historic long odds to make a postseason run, the Texans are now 2-4 with the schedule easing up. They're just two games behind the AFC South-leading Jaguars, with another head-to-head game in Houston scheduled for Week 15. The Texans return home next Sunday for a game against the New York Giants before their Week 8 bye.
To this point in his career, two-way weapon Travis Hunter has been much more of a cornerback than a wide receiver. On Sunday in London, he was dominant on both sides of the ball.
The second-year player was on the field for more offensive snaps than usual, and he made the most of those reps. Hunter finished with a season-best four catches for 59 yards and a touchdown after having just two receptions in the Jags' first five games.

Later the fourth quarter, he picked off Stroud in the end zone to set up the Jags' game-tying field goal drive. Despite the loss, the emergence of Hunter is a positive development for a team that has aspirations to make the Super Bowl out of the AFC. Hunter's usage the rest of the way will be intriguing as he continues to get more comfortable in the NFL.
Per ESPN Insights, Hunter was the first player with a receiving touchdown and an interception in the same game since Brian Dawkins in 2002 against the Texans.

After three straight weeks in London, the NFL's international series is on the move again.
Next week's early Sunday game will feature the Pittsburgh Steelers and New Orleans Saints battling in Paris. It will be the first-ever NFL game in France's capital, with the game taking place at Stade de France.
There will be a record nine international games this season, and five of them have already taken place. It kicked off in Week 1 with the San Francisco 49ers beating the Los Angeles Rams in Melbourne, Australia. The Baltimore Ravens beat the Dallas Cowboys in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in Week 3 before three straight London games -- Indianapolis Colts over Washington Commanders, Jaguars over Philadelphia Eagles and then Texans over Jaguars.
After a trip to Paris next week, the remaining international games include visits to Madrid, Spain (Cincinnati Bengals vs. Atlanta Falcons, Week 9), Munich, Germany (New England Patriots vs. Detroit Lions, Week 10) and Mexico City, Mexico (Minnesota Vikings vs. San Francisco 49ers, Week 11).
Former NFL defensive back Jason McCourty talks about what the atmosphere is like when the NFL takes the game overseas.
