When a quartet of Saints went on tour with Great Britain

It looks back at a quartet of Great Britain tourists from 1988 and when former Saints skipper Geoff Pimblett makes a presentation to the fab four before they headed off to Papua New Guinea, Australia and New Zealand.

Packman Andy Platt, hooker Paul Groves, centre Paul Loughlin and second rower Roy Haggerty show off their mementoes featuring the town crest.

Maybe Platt, rather than Loughlin, should have stood beneath the Exit sign - by the time the tourists had returned the packman had joined Wigan.

Loughlin was the tourists' top points scorer on that tour and featured in all three of the Ashes tests.

And who could forget the way his long striding run and superbly timed pass set up the try for Henderson Gill in that 26-12 shock third test win at the Sydney Cricket Ground.

If you could pick just one player for the current England squad, who would it be?
