Formula One star Charles Leclerc and his wife Alexandra have announced the birth of their new-born baby girl Bianca. The Leclercs made a joint-post to Instagram confirming that their first child was born on Tuesday with George Russell, Oscar Piastri and Pierre Gasly among the F1 stars sending well-wishes in the comments.
Charles and Alexandra got married in March 2026 with the arrival of a baby girl in November the latest chapter in their lives. On the track, the Monegasque is fresh off a controversial Mexican GP with an incident involving Ferrari team-mate Lewis Hamilton that prompted the latter to demand serious talks, dominating headlines. Leclerc attempted an ambitious overtake on Turn 4 with both he and Hamilton leaving it late to break which allowed Max Verstappen to slip past and go into the lead on the first lap.
Leclerc ended up finishing fourth while Hamilton was bested to the race victory by Verstappen. Kimi Antonelli, meanwhile, finished third and that was enough to crown him world champion with Leclerc among many F1 stars to send a dedicated message to the Italian.
He wrote on Instagram: "What a year @kimi.antonelli faultless from the beginning to the end. So well deserved and very happy for you. We’ll work hard to make it a bit harder for you next year." Despite the title race being over, there is still plenty on the line for upcoming races including the Constructors' Championship, with seats for the 2027 season also up for grabs.
All contracted drivers will also be aiming to finish as high as possible and while Leclerc's priority over the coming weeks will be his family, he has already revealed that he does not plan to miss any races. Ahead of the Austin GP, he said: "No, I don't think I'll miss a race.
"But I'll obviously do everything I can to be at home as much as possible between races. So I might arrive a little bit late, but I'll still be racing on Sundays."
This weekend's action is at the Autodromo Jose Carlos Pace with further races in Las Vegas, Qatar and Abu Dhabi to come over the next month. The first practice session in Sao Paulo is due to start at 12:30 local time (15:30 BST) on Friday with further sessions to take place that evening and on Saturday morning.
Qualifying follows the latter on the same day at 15:00 in Brazil with the race then starting just under 24 hours later the following day. Leclerc is expected to be in South America this weekend, though he may be particularly tired given what is likely to be a very busy few days."
