Adrian Lewis averaged more than 112 in a 5–1 demolition of Gary Anderson at Derby’s Face Off 2026 exhibition on Saturday night, with a possible Q-School appearance still under consideration. The two-time world champion also beat Conor Marshall during an evening at Vaillant Live that saw Luke Littler, Nathan Aspinall and Ricky Evans suffer defeats.
Their meetings in the 2011 and 2016 World Championship finals produced one title apiece, but Lewis conceded just one leg against Anderson in Derby.
The scoreboard photograph published by organisers MDA Events showed Lewis averaging 112.63 against Anderson’s 97.56, although the accompanying caption gave his average as 112.83. Both recorded the same 5–1 result.
Lewis produced a 10-dart leg and a highest checkout of 96, with both players hitting three maximums. Anderson’s best leg took 14 darts. In his other reported match, Lewis swept aside Marshall 3–0.
Lewis has yet to confirm an appearance at January’s Q-School and no longer holds a PDC Tour Card. “Have a little go on the Challenge Tour, just get my competition side back, you know,” he said earlier this year. The travelling involved in a return to the main circuit was another consideration he raised.
Under the current eligibility rules, players in Lewis’s position must participate at Q-School to access the Challenge Tour, even if securing a Tour Card is not their immediate objective. Entries for the 2027 Qualifying Schools opened on 29 October, with the events taking place from 4–10 January.
Lewis stepped away from the professional tour in April 2023 and has since spoken about needing a mental break alongside family responsibilities, including his wife’s illness. He was still capable of winning ranking events before his departure, taking the Players Championship 20 title in July 2022 with victory over Boris Koltsov.
His next announced competitive appearance will reunite him with Phil Taylor at the MODUS Super Series International Pairs in Portsmouth from 23–28 November. The pair won four World Cup titles together for England.

Former Derby County forwards David Nugent and Martyn Waghorn also enjoyed a winning appearance, with MDA reporting that the pair defeated Littler. The organisers did not publish a score or details of the match format.
That came the night after Littler’s appearance in Netflix’s Beat Luke Littler in Manchester, where Fallon Sherrock won a single leg against him to claim £501,000. Littler had beaten 14 challengers before Sherrock secured the prize.
Littler also won in Derby, beating Harry Ward 2–0 and taking out 147 during their match.
Pete Burgoyne recovered from 2–0 down to defeat Aspinall. Anderson suffered another defeat against Chris Wickenden, who won 3–1 and produced a 114 checkout along the way.
Elsewhere, Andy Courtney beat Evans by the same scoreline, finishing the match with a 130 checkout.
