Washington football opponents tumble down US LBM Coaches Poll

While the Washington Huskies (in all likelihood) won't find themselves inside the top 25 of the US LBM Coaches Poll at any point this year, several of their opponents saw a major shift in the Week 8 installment of the poll.

Two of UW's three losses on the year took major tumbles down the rankings, after the Iowa Hawkeyes suffered a 13-10 loss on the road to the Minnesota Golden Gophers (Fisch's third loss of the year). That sent coach Kirk Ferentz's team down ten spots to No. 24.

As for coach Lincoln Riley and the USC Trojans, they couldn't overcome the Wisconsin Badgers, suffering a 24-7 loss on the road at Camp Randall, and also dropped ten spots to No. 25.

Following an overtime 13-6 win on the road against the Michigan Wolverines, the Indiana Hoosiers were the only team anywhere on Washington's schedule to see a rise, jumping up two spots to No. 4. The Huskies' next opponent, the Nebraska Cornhuskers, garnered 27 points in the "others receiving votes" category.

After the Oregon Ducks suffered a 21-10 loss on the road to the Illinois Fighting Illini, they, like the Huskies, will have a difficult time making their way back into the rankings at any point this year.

Here's how the rest of the top 25 shaped up.
