Eberl confirms Kompany available for Arsenal Champions League clash
Assistant coach Aeron Danks took the reins in the press room to preview Wednesday's Champions League matchday-three showdown. Kompany was indisposed through illness and required complete rest throughout the day, forcing him to sit out both the training session and his media commitments.
The English coach addressed Michael Olise's suspension and potential reshuffles, while also acknowledging uncertainty surrounding Joshua Kimmich, who missed Tuesday's session for personal reasons. "We will speak to Vincent later," Danks explained regarding tactical tweaks in the Frenchman's absence.
"Lennart Karl is one of those who can feature; we are Bayern Munchen, we boast a formidable squad. Naturally, we will miss Michael, but when he is not there, others can step into the breach," he insisted.
Addressing Kimmich's training absence, Danks conceded he remained unsure what that meant for matchday. Several selection dilemmas loom over Bayern's starting XI, starting in goal: although Manuel Neuer has resumed training, his participation on Wednesday remains unconfirmed.
"We have not made that call yet. Manu has been training for two days now and that is wonderful. We will make a decision with Vincent and the coaching staff. But it is great to have Manu back and fit," he concluded.
