Both sets of players had to deal with the effects of Storm Boelo during their clash on Teesside, with Alnwick coming out on the right side of a close encounter to win 35-27.

That victory means Alnwick ended the weekend sat top of the Regional One North East table having won all five of their opening five matches.

Alnwick return home on Saturday when they host North Ribblesdale aiming to extend their perfect start.
