Bayern Munich look set to be without another key player in next week’s Champions League clash against Arsenal.
The Gunners are in Germany on Wednesday night, following this weekend’s Premier League meeting with Nottingham Forest, for their third match of this season’s league phase.
Mikel Arteta’s side have made a perfect start in Europe, beating Napoli and Lille, though a big test awaits them at the Allianz Arena.
In an early boost for Arsenal, they will not come up against one of the most in-form players across Europe this season in Michael Olise after he was sent-off in Bayern’s 3-3 draw against Viking.
The France international was booked for a cynical pull of the shirt and then immediately earned himself a second yellow card for throwing the ball in the face of a Viking player.
"It was our own fault," Vincent Kompany said of the dismissal. "This red card was super dumb... you can see in [Olise's] eyes that he's sorry about it and that he regrets letting the team down.”
As a result of Olise’s red card, he must serve a one-game ban and will therefore not be available for Bayern against Arsenal.

Now, perhaps in a further twist, German publication BILD reported that Manuel Neuer and Jamal Musiala were both absent from training on Friday ahead of Bayern’s Bundesliga showdown with RB Leipzig.
It has since been confirmed by Sky Sport in Germany that Neuer will not play against Leipzig because of an ongoing foot problem but he is expected to be back in goal for the visit of Arsenal on October 21.
However, Musiala has not featured since withdrawing from international duty with after sustaining a torn muscle fiber in his right thigh while warming up for Germany's Nations League clash against Netherlands last month.
Unless the attacking midfielder resumes training in the next few days, it would appear he is losing the battle to win his race to face Arsenal.
