Details about Tennessee Football’s penultimate road trip of the 2026 regular season have been announced… sort of. The Volunteers will travel to College Station, TX, for a matchup with the Texas A&M Aggies that’ll take place between 3:00 p.m. ET and 4:15 p.m. ET on Nov. 14. The official time will be locked in after the Nov. 7 slate of games. The game will either be on ESPN or the SEC Network.

Tennessee has four more games left in the regular season slate, including two road games. One is the aforementioned game at Texas A&M on Nov. 14, and the other is an in-state road trip at Vanderbilt in the season finale on Nov. 28.

The Vols and the Aggies have only squared off five times in history, with UT leading the series 3-2. Tennessee has only visited Texas A&M one time, which was a 45-28 overtime loss in College Station during the 2016 season.

The two programs first faced off in the 1957 Gator Bowl, which ended in a 3-0 Tennessee win in Jacksonville, FL. They then met up in the 2005 Cotton Bowl, resulting in a 38-7 Tennessee beatdown in Dallas, TX. The Aggies got the win over the Vols in 2016, and then again with a 34-13 win in 2020 in Knoxville. Tennessee, led by quarterback Joe Milton, defeated Texas A&M, 20-13, in Knoxville in 2023.

Texas A&M is in its third year under head coach Mike Elko, but things have been rough for the Aggies this year. TAMU is sitting at 4-4 this season and is out of playoff contention. The Aggies have wins over Missouri State, Arizona State, Arkansas, and the Citadel, with losses to Kentucky, LSU, Missouri, and Alabama.

Texas A&M needs to win two of its final four games to make the bowl slate, and it still has three ranked opponents left. The Aggies are on the road at South Carolina this weekend before returning to Texas to host Tennessee. Texas A&M then finishes the season with a road trip to Oklahoma and a home game against Texas.

Tennessee, meanwhile, is 6-2 on the season. The Vols finish the year with a home game against Kentucky, a road game at Texas A&M, a home game against LSU, and a road game at Vanderbilt. Perhaps a 9-3 season and a lot of luck could get Tennessee in the playoffs, but the Vols really need to go 4-0 down the stretch in order to be squarely in that conversation.

No. 16 Tennessee (6-2) will host No. 8 Kentucky (7-1) at 6:15 p.m. ET on Saturday afternoon in a rivalry clash from Neyland Stadium. Stay tuned to Rocky Top Insider for more Tennessee Football news, notes, and coverage.
