Jacobe Smith has threatened to attack Kevin Holland if they bump into each other, stating that he doesn’t like the UFC star.
This coming weekend, the premier promotion returns to Las Vegas, Nevada, for UFC Vegas 123, headlined by a lightweight clash between Renato Moicano and Tom Nolan.
In the co-main event, undefeated star Jacobe Smith competes for the second time this month when he takes on Randy Brown in the co-main event, stepping in on short notice.
And ahead of what is deemed to be his toughest fight yet, Smith has once again gone in on his welterweight rival, Kevin Holland.
This past July, ‘Cobe’ was scheduled to take on ‘The Trailblazer’ at UFC Oklahoma City, but not long before the fight, Holland withdrew due to an injury. Since then, Holland hasn’t returned to the cage, but he is scheduled to take on Uros Medic at UFC 334 this coming November 14.
And ahead of his clash against ‘Rude Boy’ Brown this weekend, Smith has opened up about his rivalry with Holland and DM’s between them, threatening to smack him if he sees him outside of the cage. “It was just us going back-and-forth, you know, neither one of us went public about it but after my last knockout I DM’d him and said, ‘I want you next, boy’, and it just went from there,” Smith told UFC on Paramount.
“He was talking mess but the reason why I did that was because he was wanting to fight at Noche UFC but said he couldn’t be ready for Utah which Noche was way before Utah, but instead he backed out so I don’t (get it), there was no reason behind what he was talking then he was talking all this mess and saying ‘You see me in public and don’t do nothing but on social media you’re talking c—‘, I’m like, alright, you’re literally describing yourself right now.
“I’m not in his DM’s talking c—, he’s in mine running his mouth and so that’s why after the fight I got into his DM’s again. It is what it is, if I see him I’m bound to smack him in his face, outside of the cage, I don’t like the dude, and if we can’t get in the cage, I’m gonna be the one doing the talking, I can guarantee you,” Smith continued.
Jacobe Smith and Kevin Holland have had some back and forth in the DM’s 👀 "If I see him, I’m bound to smack him in his face outside the cage. I don’t like the dude… If we can’t get in the cage, I’m gonna be the one doing the talking I guarantee you." [ #UFCVegas123 | SAT Oct 31 LIVE on @paramountplus ]

With a win over Brown this Saturday, Smith could move past a fight against Holland, and potentially earn himself a fight against a top 12 opponent in the welterweight division. In fact, UFC legend Michael Chiesa believes Smith could give Islam Makhachev a tough fight right now, without even being ranked inside the top 15 at 170lbs.
