Sports analyst Jason Whitlock isn’t staying silent after Angel Reese’s huge Game 2 performance in the WNBA Finals against the Valkyries.
Angel Reese was trolled quite a bit after she struggled in her WNBA Finals debut. Despite a strong start in Game 1, the Valkyries stopped Reese from scoring a single point in the second half. The Atlanta Dream superstar paid that back in Game 2, with interest.
Reese scored 30 points in the Dream’s win, as they managed to win on the Golden State Valkyries’ vaunted home floor. She also had 16 rebounds, becoming the youngest WNBA player to put up these stats in the WNBA Playoffs.
Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese may be friends, but their rivalry has been a huge thing since the time they were in college. Clark’s many fans on social media don’t miss an opportunity to troll Reese whenever they can. Now that she is making history, though, that is a little tougher.
In fact, the inverse is becoming true as Angel’s fans actually call out Clark’s supporters following her big game. Jason Whitlock seems to think that it’s a bad time for the Fever star’s fans, in any case.
The broadcast of the WNBA Finals is so high school it's more embarrassing than the brutal play.

On the plus side, Angel Reese dropped 30 points tonight. The Caitlin Cult is gonna be in shambles.

“The broadcast of the WNBA Finals is so high school it’s more embarrassing than the brutal play,” Whitlock wrote after Game 2 on social media. “On the plus side, Angel Reese dropped 30 points tonight. The Caitlin Cult is gonna be in shambles.”
It is a shame how polarised the two players’ fanbases are. Both women entered the league together, and have found success in their own way. Sports is all about competition, though. If Reese somehow wins the championship this year, it’s going to be a long wait until next season for Clark’s fans.
