COVENTRY United remain winless at home in the league this season following a 3-0 defeat against Loughborough Students.

United trailed at the break after Josh Roddy’s goal on 21 minutes put Loughborough ahead at the Nick Newbold Stadium.

And Tobenna Ikegwuonu doubled the away side’s lead after the break on 70 minutes to leave Coventry with a mountain to climb.

Loughborough sealed the points seven minutes from time when Matty Bowman found the net to leave United winless at home in the league this season.

The result means Coventry sit 16th in the Northern Premier League Midlands table just three points above the relegation zone.

Coventry host Basford United on Wednesday, October 21 with kick-off at 7.45pm at the Nick Newbold Stadium.
