Two injuries have forced Mauricio Pochettino to adjust his United States men’s national team for this month’s CONCACAF Nations League quarterfinals against Haiti.

The latest absence is Giovanni Reyna, who scored for Strasbourg on Friday but left with an injury and is ceding his spot in this month’s USMNT camp to another scoring, in-form, European-based star.

Jack McGlynn, the Philadelphia Union product, has been one of the Football League Championship’s best players and has Stoke City in the race for Premier League promotion with five goals and two assists in 14 appearances.

The news comes a day after Toulouse back Mark McKenzie — who coincidentally scored for Toulouse in their win over Reyna’s Strasbourg — was added to the USMNT following an injury to West Brom center back George Campbell.

This isn’t quite the banger he produced earlier in his rookie campaign for the Potters, but it’ll do just fine.

The 23-year-old from Queens has two goals and two assists in 13 caps for the USMNT but hasn’t made a start since the second game of the 2025 Gold Cup and hasn’t been called into the team since September 2025.

Reyna’s now starting games regularly for Ligue 1 outfit Strasbourg, and he’s up to three goals after scoring against Toulouse on Friday.

Unfortunately he left the game just a few minutes after scoring, appearing to favor his upper leg.
