A familiar face came back to haunt Strathspey Thistle on Friday evening.
The in-form Robbie Thompson gave the Grantown men a half time advantage but Dean Stewart, recently signed by Lossie from Strathspey, netted against his old team to level on the hour.
Liam Harvey looked like he may snatch victory for the Coasters in the final ten minutes but Thistle quickly responded through Daniel Whitehorn to make it 2-2.
The Jags had Rorie MacLeod sent off deep into time added on.
A change in work situation for Stewart, who captained the Jags earlier this season, meant that the travel involved made it very tough for Stewart to continue at Seafield Park.
A ten-goal thriller with more twists than a corkscrew was the highlight of yesterday’s games.
Keith’s clash with Invergordon finished top in entertainment stakes on the Highland League weekend.
The Kynoch Park match produced a rash of goals, with one hat-trick scorer finishing on the losing team.
Invergordon raced into a 2-0 lead through Callum Murray and Torran Lambie, only for Keith to score three in 13 minutes through Aberdeen loan teenagers Max Pocklington and Heath Duncan as well as a Jordan Lynch strike in between.
Back came the Highland visitors with two more Lambie goals to complete his hat-trick before the half time whistle.
But another three goals in 14 minutes after the break from Ewan Clark, Duncan again from the spot and Ronan Craib carried Craig Ewen’s men to a fascinating 6-4 victory.
Two goalscorers were later sent off in other matches, including another thriller in the Banffshire coast derby at Buckie.
It was goalless at the break between Buckie and Deveronvale, but plenty to talk about in the second half.
Marcus Goodall and Ryan Fyffe twice put Jags ahead, only for Jack Mitchell and Jay Goldie to reply for Vale and peg it back to 2-2.
It looked like a point apiece until Mitchell struck his second for the visitors to win it on 90 minutes, with Buckie scorer Fyffe later sent off for a second booking.
It was troubled Buckie’s eighth defeat in a row in all competitions.
Angus Grant continued his Huntly goalscoring comeback to rescue a point in a 2-2 draw at Forres Mechanics.
The Cans’ tendency to lose early goals continued when Dylan Shaw fired Huntly in front after just two minutes.
But Calum Frame quickly levelled, then added a second on 19 minutes to edge Forres in front.
Grant squared things up with 13 minutes to go.
Wick Academy’s Graham McNab was another man to put himself on the scoresheet as well as the referee’s red card list.
He cancelled out Rory McAllister’s 20th minute opener for Formartine United at Harmsworth Park.
Euan Kennedy than gave Wick a shock lead and they held out for their third win of the season.
MacNab was shown a second yellow in a late incident which also resulted in a red card for Formartine’s Matthew Cooper.
Leaders Brora Rangers dropped points for only the third time this season as they were held to a 1-1 draw at Fraserburgh.
Inverurie Locos won 3-1 at Rothes with manager Dean Donaldson’s son Cole twice on target.
Banks o’ Dee stunned Clachnacuddin 4-0 at Spain park and Nairn County edged out Turriff United 2-1 at Station Park.
