The idea has split the fanbase on TalkingPoints. One fan is all for it, and brought forward the possibility of him playing up front, rather than being a direct replacement for Jack Grealish on the left.

He showed what he could do away from Old Trafford with that move to Barca… think this would be a good move for all parties, although I’d stick him up top, can’t be replacing Grealish 👀

Others aren’t convinced. One questioned whether he’d suit David Moyes at all, saying he doesn’t have the work ethic to play under the Everton manager, while another wanted the club to look elsewhere, saying: “Has to be a younger, hungrier option out there surely?”

Don’t like it. Hasn’t got the work rate or attitude to thrive under Moyes

There’s no doubting what Rashford can do when he’s happy and motivated. On loan at Barcelona last season, he scored 14 goals in 49 games, helping the Catalan giants win La Liga.
Back at Manchester United this season, many were expecting a revival of his career, but so far, it’s been far from that. Before picking up a hip injury, Rashford made six Premier League appearances this season, four of them starts, without a single goal or assist.
So which Rashford would Everton get? And just as importantly, where would he play? Of course, he’s a left winger by trade, but at Barcelona, he played as a centre-forward a few times. So yes, he can play down the middle, but he’s not a traditional centre-forward, and is most comfortable on the flank.

What are your thoughts on a potential move for Marcus Rashford? 👀 Everton and Man United are said to be in talks over January move…
And that in itself is the problem. Everton’s issue is goals, with just eight in eight Premier League games. A left-sided forward doesn’t fix that.
If Rashford comes in, it should only be as a short-term fix on the left, and only if the Jack Grealish situation falls apart. Everton can’t carry two big names past their prime on huge wages, and they certainly shouldn’t block Tyrique George in the process.
What Everton really need is a proper No.9, and they need to scour the market smartly instead of chasing a headline name. Funnily enough, that Calvert-Lewin fella looks alright for Leeds. Four league goals in eight starts this season, on a free transfer.
