The tie of the round in the Carabao Cup, unquestionably, comes from Merseyside, with so many subplots. Many tipped Xabi Alonso to work in the Anfield dugout one day, but few would've predicted it would be on the visitors' side taking charge of Chelsea.
Well, after Saturday's miserable defeat against rivals Tottenham at Stamford Bridge, Alonso needs to win over the 6,025 traveling Blues. If you're not part of that traveling contingent, find out how to watch this mouthwatering match-up, including how to tune in for free in the UK.
In the UK & Ireland, Sky Sports have the rights to all 92 EFL Cup ties. As this is the pick of the round four fixtures, they are putting it front and centre on Sky Sports Main Event.
That though is not all. ITV are also able to showcase a minimum of one tie per round free-to-air on terrestrial television. Thus, fans can watch Liverpool vs Chelsea for free on ITV1 and ITVX.
In the United States, CBS are the Carabao Cup rights holders, with this fixture on Paramount+.
