FC Bayern hosts Borussia Dortmund for the Bundesliga classic. We’ll show you where you can watch this top match live on TV and via stream today.

FC Bayern has its next big highlight coming up on Saturday evening. On Matchday 8 of the Bundesliga, the German record champions will host Borussia Dortmund at the Allianz Arena. Kickoff for the classic match is at 6:30 p.m.

It’s not just about prestige—it’s also about the top spot in the standings. Bayern and Dortmund are tied on points heading into this head-to-head matchup. With a win, Munich could temporarily pull ahead of BVB and take sole possession of first place.

Bayern heads into this top-tier matchup with plenty of momentum. In the Bundesliga, the FCB most recently secured a 3-1 victory on the road against SC Freiburg. Midweek, they followed that up with a convincing 6-1 home win against 1. FC Magdeburg in the DFB Cup, advancing to the round of 16.

The recent head-to-head record against Dortmund also favors the record champions. Last Bundesliga season, Bayern won both head-to-head matches, 2-1 and 3-2. In addition, the FCB also defeated BVB in the Franz Beckenbauer Super Cup at the start of the current season.

Borussia Dortmund is also traveling to Munich off the back of a cup victory. Niko Kovac’s team won 3–2 against Werder Bremen earlier this week, though despite a dominant first half, they still had to sweat it out for quite some time to secure their spot in the next round.
