The Los Angeles Rams were dealt a significant blow when Davante Adams ruptured his hamstring in Sunday's loss to the Arizona Cardinals. Sean McVay said Adams is expected to miss 6-10 weeks, which will land him on injured reserve and open up a roster spot.
Wide receiver depth was already a concern coming into the season and the Rams will now be without their No. 2 target for the foreseeable future. If they still want to chase a Super Bowl ring, they'll certainly need some help at that position.
Here are eight wide receivers they could consider trading for before the Nov. 10 deadline.
The Colts are 2-4 and just fired their GM, Chris Ballard, so it's reasonable to think they could be sellers at the trade deadline. Downs would be a logical player to move considering he's in the last year of his deal and is set to become a free agent.
The appeal for the Rams is obvious. He's a shifty, fast receiver who primarily plays in the slot but can also line up outside. He wouldn't be a one-for-one replacement for Adams as the X-receiver, but he's a playmaker, no less.
As an added bonus, he's returned punts in the NFL, which is an area that's become a glaring weakness for the Rams.
Thomas is the obvious name that will keep coming up until he's moved – or the Jaguars flat-out deny any interest in trading him. He plays for former Rams OC Liam Coen, and the Jaguars' GM is James Gladstone, who was in Los Angeles' building as the director of scouting.
Thomas has fallen way out of favor in Jacksonville with Parker Washington and Jakobi Meyers becoming the top two receivers, and the Jags also have Travis Hunter at their disposal, too.
After an outstanding rookie season in 2024, Thomas has been in a slump. He's totaled just 812 yards in his last 20 games after putting up 1,282 and 10 touchdowns as a rookie.
Addison has two years left on his contract so he's not on an expiring deal, making it much less likely that the Vikings will move him. However, if the Vikings are ready to part ways with their No. 2 receiver, the Rams could consider making a call.
He's a big-play deep threat who hasn't exactly been that for Kyler Murray and the offense this season. He did have five catches for 90 yards against the Buccaneers, but in his three other games, he has just 73 yards on 13 targets.
The Browns are 4-2, which is a surprise in itself. Because of that, they might be reluctant to move someone like Jeudy, who's signed through 2027. But with Denzel Boston and KC Concepcion looking promising as rookies, there's a path toward Cleveland parting ways with Jeudy.
He's barely been involved, catching just 12 passes for 190 yards in six games, and he fell off big-time in 2025 after a Pro Bowl season for the Browns the year prior. He'd bring some much-needed speed to Los Angeles' offense.
The NFC East is wide open, so the Cowboys probably won't be sellers just yet. But with no clear path toward a long-term deal with Pickens, trading him might be their best option instead of doing the franchise tag dance again in 2027.
He hasn't exactly shined this season and forced the Cowboys' hand with a contract, either. He has just 428 yards and one touchdown so far, well off his pace from a season ago when he averaged 84 yards per game and scored nine times.
Pickens would become an immediate deep threat alongside Nacua, and he can play the X role that Adams does.
If not Addison, might the Vikings trade Jennings, their 2026 free-agent signing? He has a mere two catches for 9 yards this season despite playing 74% of the snaps. His work as a blocker is valuable but he's a pass-catcher first, and he hasn't exactly gotten many opportunities to do that in Minnesota.
It might already be time for the Vikings to move on and having played in the NFC West with the 49ers, Jennings is very familiar with the Rams, and vice versa.
The Commanders just lost Terry McLaurin to a long-term injury, so moving Diggs now might be less viable. But if they keep losing, they should be sellers before the deadline.
Diggs has shown at times this season that he can still be a very good WR2 for someone, making a nifty one-handed catch on Monday night and scoring a 1-yard touchdown against the 49ers. His shiftiness and agility would be a nice complement to Nacua.
Godwin is on the wrong side of 30 and has dealt with injuries in recent years. Plus, he has two years left on a sizable contract that might be too expensive for the Rams' liking. But he's a natural slot receiver who would pair nicely with Nacua.
He has 23 catches on 29 targets for 216 yards this season, and is now far enough removed from his serious knee injury in 2024 that it shouldn't be too big a concern for any team acquiring him.
