Braishfield were desperately unlucky to come away empty handed after two late goals saw condemned them to defeat.
This fixture was title favourites Waterlooville's first at AFC Portchester, and with the reformed club having big ambitions, this match attracted much interest and a crowd of over 100.
However, Braishfield raised their game and for 85 minutes played the role of 'party poopers' superbly.

They had the better of the first half and took the game to their hosts.
After some good play, they took the lead just before half time when Hugo Rawlings sprang the offside trap to coolly slot home past the advancing goalkeeper and silence the vociferous home crowd.
The second half saw a vast improvement from Waterlooville, but they continued to be frustrated by a stubborn Braishfield defence.
In an end-to-end affair, Braishfield created several good chances with Jack Harris going closest when he struck the post.
The final 10 minutes saw Waterlooville apply more pressure, and finally in 89th minute Burt equalised.
A minute later, they were ahead when an inswinging corner was forced in at the far post by the same player.
The final few minutes saw Braishfield throw everything forward, but the hosts held on to claim the points.
On Saturday afternoon Braishfield travel to Eastleigh to play Fleming Athletic, whilst the 2nd XI return to action with a home game against St Francis Reserves.
