A club from South Yorkshire against one from north Wales. It does not seem an obvious fixture for a rivalry, but there has been a bit of needle between these clubs in recent times.
"It's a tasty game," Sheffield United boss Chris Wilder suggested in the build-up to tonight's match.
"It's not historical over 15, 20 to 25 years, it's a recent one, but it's gathered pace along the way."
Why? There are a few reasons, with Blades great Billy Sharp having words to say about Wrexham after the clubs' FA Cup meetings in 2022-23.
There have also been signs of tension between Wilder and opposite number Phil Parkinson, even though these two wily old managers were teenage team-mates in the Southampton youth set-up.
Attacking midfielder Callum O'Hare - whose move to Wrexham attracted a dig over the Welsh club's transfer policy from Wilder - is a surprise absentee tonight, but another United old boy, Kieffer Moore, leads the visitors' line.
There are plenty of subplots this evening, therefore.
