It has been a busy week in terms of recruitment for Mildenhall Town’s joint managers.

Ben Mayhew and Alex Rossis were appointed following the club’s relegation from the Isthmian League North Division at the end of the previous campaign.

And life back in the Thurlow Nunn League Premier Division has so far proven to be tough for Mildenhall, who have won just two of their 12 outings.

However, ahead of this evening’s derby fixture away at Soham Town Rangers (7.45pm), Mayhew and Rossis have added four new additions to their squad.

The forward part of the pitch has been bolstered by the arrivals of Harley Curtis and Tom Head.

Having previously been on the books of both Ipswich Town and Chesterfield, Curtis has more recently spent time with Needham Market, Leiston, Ipswich Wanderers and Bury Town.

This season, Curtis has made six appearances for Stanway Rovers in the Isthmian League Premier Division.

Meanwhile, Head has arrived from fellow Step 5 side Saffron Walden Town, having been the Essex Senior League Premier Division club’s leading scorer last term.

Midfielder Danny Setchell has also returned to the club.

Setchell spent part of the previous campaign with Mildenhall, and he will take on the captaincy following the recent departure of Karl Saffery to Ely City.

Full-back Fin Logan has also joined the club from Ely, having also turned out for neighbouring Lakenheath.

Mildenhall go into tonight’s clash sitting 17th in the table, while hosts Soham are in sixth, two points adrift of the play-offs.
